Term 3- Story Board

Task:
For this post out task was to create a plan, and complete story board, using the software called storyboard that. This story had to be based upon one of the learner profiles and along with this had to be funny and consist of a model. We had two lessons to complete all components of it.
Criteria B :
(to create the plan of a storyboard with annotations that has a learner profile, moral and humor)

For this storyboard, I have decided that the software I will use will be Storyboard That, this is not only a reliable recommendation of our teacher but is also used by many artists around the world. I choose this because the software has various options like characters, speech bubbles, titles, background and other features that apply directly to my annotated design. I think storyboard that will be able to help me portray the ideas I want to come across to my audience.

Criteria C:
(To create the storyboard based on criteria B demonstrating skills in digital design using various features of the tool)

Criteria D:
(To reflect upon the completed work- 400 words)
For this story board, I decided to pick the learner profile “caring”, I choose this as I was told to make it about one of the attributes that we can relate to, and personally I think I am caring. As my design states, I made a story about how I once was caring towards my brother even though he had done something bad. Through this I want to show that always do caring actions and do it without the greed to get something in return. From the design aspect, I made the background very colorful but realistic too. I choose to make my kitchen background basic but the room more innovative, I edited the original design’s colors to show my design skills. The text I choose was easy to read, as this is directed to a younger audience. I also avoided using complicated vocabulary as this is meant to be funny, but easy to understand like any comic strip. I think to improve I could make my story more complex but it would complicate things when I had to make it funny as that was one of the criteria’s. I also think that if I made more boxes then I would be able to demonstrate my skills further and show my abilities.

Over all I think I could make a successful storyboard that showed my idea, I think I followed the criteria well too. My annotations were appropriate and showed detail, and my project carried out my idea successfully. I think that next time to improve I will make more quantity as requested and I would also like to recreate this or a more complex story on another tool, and possibly compare the both to see which one is more effective.

As I have asked my peers (Maggie, Ananya and Kimberly), they have all told me that the learner profile is clear, per task and that my storyboard is fit for a younger audience than them. They have told me that to improve I could make the story a little more humorous but the current product is not so bad. They have also told me that next time I could make more textboxes to avoid the text heavy boxes under each design box.

Next time if I use another software I could try to do it manually, on word or paint which would give it a more original feel but it would not be able to provide the intricacy that Storyboard that has provided. I could use Adobe Photoshop for a more realistic aspect for an older target audience
